The Future
This page is an on-going construction to display
photos of some of our R & D and perhaps a few
opinions. We are constantly making new things in
concrete and experimenting with new processes so
this page may see a few changes as THE FUTURE
presses on.
Let it be known that those of us at Root Concrete
and its affiliates have interests that encompass
large and thoughtful avenues. Concrete is a very
quiet and important juggernaut in the very wide
world of construction and therefore in the world.
The production of the raw materials that make it up
– the cement, aggregates, steel, even the water,
requires vast amounts of energy. Part of our
interest in THE FUTURE involves all things
sustainable. Concrete properly made is inherently
sustainable- it could last for hundreds of years, if
not thousands. With concrete’s longevity on one
side of the scale and high embodied energy on the
other, we entertain thoughts of alternative fuels
and recycling, and whenever possible, we act upon
them.
